Echo Vascular Dual Certified Technologist

Pima Lung & Sleep, PC is seeking an experienced technologist registered in both Vascular and Cardiac Ultrasound to join us in our nationally recognized practice.

 

We are the ONLY* facility in Southern Arizona accredited by the Inter-Societal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL), Inter-Societal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) and has 2 Accreditations from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Qualifications of Echo Vascular Dual Certified Technologist

  • Qualified applicants MUST be Certified in both Vascular ultrasound (RVT or RVS) and Cardiac sonography (RDCS or RCS)
  • Must have experience in performing 2D Echo, Carotid, Arterial, Aorta, ABI, Renal & Venous testing proficiently & accurately
  • Must have more than 2+ years experience in a cardiovascular laboratory
  • Ability to perform EKG's
  • Maintains CPR certification

 

Requirements of Echo Vascular Dual Certified Technologist

  • Be a Team player
  • Strong work ethic & integrity
  • Management experience in running an Echo Vascular laboratory is a plus
  • Ability to work closely & communicate with our main practice Physician & the Pima Lung Clinic Director with abnormal studies
  • Productivity & Efficiency is a must
  • Ability to work independently & as part of a Healthcare Team
  • Must have proficient computer skills
  • Manages all supplies & equipment in the Cardiovascular Lab
  • Excellent customer service skills & interaction with peers
  • Ability to work closely & communicate with our main practice Physician & the Pima Lung Clinic Director with abnormal studies
  • Ability to work closely with our Reading Physicians (Cardiologist & Vascular Surgeon)
  • Prepares all electronic worksheets & images for the reading physicians
  • Knowledge of dealing with timeline priorities
  • Assures patient billing is timely & accurate
  • Keeps ultrasound machines & reading station clean
  • Assures all equipment is working functioning properly
  • Knowledge of the cardiac & vascular disease
  • Ability to follow processes & procedures
  • Collaborate with the Pima Lung CEO with reaccreditations for the both the Echo & Vascular Laboratories
  • Collect data needed for the Quality Assurance programs for both the Echo & Vascular laboratories
  • Ability to explain the procedures to patients & family members
  • Ability to adapt to various electronic medical software (EMR)
